Personnel of the Bayelsa State-owned security outfit have nabbed two suspects involved in the killing of an army corporal attached to the Joint Task Force Operations Delta Safe Headquarters in Yenagoa on Thursday.
The suspects, both males and identified as MacMelly Vincent, aged 27, and Henry Talford, 26 were arrested at their hideout.
Chairman of the Bayelsa State Volunteers security outfit, Lucky Asanakpo, told journalists that the arrest of the suspects was successful because of the vital information as well as the support given to his men by the Traditional ruler and Youth leader of Igbogene Community.
He however said that a third suspect identified simply as Confidence, managed to escape arrest, even as serious efforts are being made by his men and members of security agencies to effect his capture.
Both suspects, according to Asanakpo, have been handed over to the Nigerian Army for further investigation and prosecution.
