House on the Rock 15th Edition of The Experience, the concert Will Be Online

The biggest and most anticipated Gospel music concert of the year, ‘The Experience’ is here again. The 15th edition of the event will take place on Friday,11th December 2020, and will be fully virtual due to the current COVID- 19 precautions and safety measures in the country, the organizers announced recently. Worshippers can have a feel of Heaven from the comfort of their homes and various locations as the event will be live-streamed around the world.

“Mark your calendars, clear your schedule, tell your family and friends, December 11 is about to go down in history as the first-ever fully virtual #TheExperience Concert. Something just as special is about to happen in your life” the organizers tweeted.

This powerful and spirit-filled event was birthed by the Senior Pastor of the House on The Rock, Paul Adefarasin, as directed by God and the event has grown in leaps and bounds to become the most anticipated Gospel music concert in the world by both Christians and non-Christians.

The past editions held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, averaged a yearly attendance of over 500,000 people at the venue, with millions more watching online around the world. this essentially made it the biggest gospel concert in the world today.

The Experience is seen as a platform by many, where anyone who wants to encounter God for himself or herself.  It is also seen as a stage global worshippers regardless of class, race, tribe, tradition, colour, can gather to worship and praise God in an uninterrupted atmosphere for hours on end.

The Experience has been passionately described by previous attendees as an experience that has become a staple every year.  With thousands flooding the venue everywhere, the Experience has developed its own community, extending even to viewers around the world who have joined via their TV screens and online. Compellingly, the community is about to get even bigger as the performers prepare to reach worshipers solely online this year.

The response to the pandemic saw the emergence of platforms and practices that allowed people to be together whilst still maintaining safe distances. The digital experience uprising as many called it allowed people to work and in many instances live their lives digitally. The upside to this was that people were mostly on time for activities and events, due to a non-existent traffic situation. People also experienced general ease of going about their business. The Experience has honed in on the digital advantage. The event has tapped gospel music favourites and youth-centric ministers like Hillsong United, Maverick City, and Travis Greene, all of whom are adept at creating moving heavenly worship experiences online.

“It’s more than a concert, more than a time of intimate worship. It’s The Experience 2020!!! “This year, we are taking it to the entire world with The Experience Global Edition,”  the organizers wrote on their Instagram page. House on The Rock has stated its intent to make the Experience “Global edition” into a personalized package delivered directly to individual viewers around the world. Attendees can look forward to the living room couch treatment, which is an entirely new experience in itself. There has never been a digital gospel event of this scale before and the amped-up atmosphere surrounding this year’s edition, is one Gospel music lovers are preparing to be stunned by.

With an incredible line-up of gospel music’s finest and a packed schedule designed to keep attendees captivated throughout the night, the 15th  edition of The Experience is poised to exceed its reputation as one of the major highlights of the year as people around the world can worship God and fellowship with their loved ones and family from the comfort of their homes.

Last year’s edition was tagged a remarkable and life-changing experience by attendees, as it featured Travis Greene, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Tope Alabi, Planetshakers, Chioma Jesus, Eben, Onos, Sammie Okposo, and many others including several newcomers such as  Todd Dulaney, Mercy Chinwo and Preye Odede.

This year’s concert will showcase musical performances from South African inspirational poet and speaker, Nokwethemba Mchunu popularly known as Nokwe the Poet will make her first-ever appearance at the 2020 edition of The Experience, while Brazilian Christian worship leader, singer-songwriter, and leader of the contemporary praise band Diante do Trono Ana Paula Valadão will also feature for the first time at the  Experience Concert.

Other notable worship leaders include Tasha Cobbs, Sinach, Eben, Onos, Planet Shakers, Sonnie Badu, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Mercy Chinwo, Matt Redman, and a host of others.

The House on The Rock Church has seemingly taken care of every last detail, communicating that viewers only had to get the popcorn ready and simply prepare for transformative time in God’s presence
