Masari urges Nigerians to defend themselves against insecurity

Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari has urged Nigerians to defend themselves against bandits and other criminal elements.


Masari said this during the launch of a security agencies Joint Operations And Communication Centre.


He also said, enough is enough for the blame game about the insecurity bedevilling the country.

Masari said, in the face of the rising cases of attacks, citizens need not wait for security agencies to come to rescue them, rather, they should face the criminals.

He further said, the time has passed for the blame game about the insecurity bedevilling the nation, hence, security should be everyone’s business.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Ibrahim Katsina, had hinted that, the Joint Security Agencies Operations And Communication Centre, is capable of continuously monitor, prevent, detect, analyze, and provide rapid response to security incidents across Katsina State.

He said the activation of the centre will instantly send signals of security threats to all heads of security agencies, and some key government functionaries, thereby making them more proactive.

The Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba, described the centre, located at the headquarters of the Police, as a step in the right direction, which will make the working synergy between all security agencies more cordial to deal with the banditry being faced in the state.

All heads of the law enforcement agencies in the state were given packs of customized handsets, to work with the centre, when activated.
