S’West PDP State Chairmen Commiserate With Udom Over Chairman’s Death

LAGOS- State chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West have commiserated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as well as members and supporters of the PDP in the State over the death of the State Party Chairman, Udo Ekpenyong.

In a statement on Sunday, by the Chairman of the State Chairmen, Dr Sikirulai Ogundele, the death of Ekpeyong was described as a great loss to the PDP, most especially in Akwa Ibom State, where he served devotedly with his time, energy and resources.

Dr Ogundele while consoling the PDP family, government and the entire people of Akwa Ibom State said the late Chairman was an illustrious Akwa Ibomite, a committed patriot and an outstanding partyman, who served the PDP diligently.

Ogundele who is also the Chairman of PDP in Ogun State said; “Among us State Chairmen of the PDP, Udo Ekpeyong was a shining light, whose devotion and commitment to the party cannot be over-emphasised.

“Even though his death is a pain that we will continue to feel, we are consoled that he lived a fulfilled live and will be missed greatly by all.

“We implore Governor Udom Emmanuel, the deceased family, friends and associates to take solace in the fact that death is the ultimate end of all and it will come at the time appointed by God.

“On behalf of the PDP chairmen in the South-West States, I express heartfelt condolence for the loss of such a distinguished party man and I wish the entire family the continued support and guidance of the Almighty God.”
