Tasha Cobbs, Maverick City, and Others Will join House on The Rock for 15th Edition of The Experience

The 15th edition of The Experience, “Global edition”, as it has been dubbed is on cue to be the biggest worship event of the year. To the delight of Christians and worshippers across the globe, award-winning global artistes such as Tasha Cobbs, Maverick City, and Hillsong United have signed up to be part of the experience. The event is slated to take place on the 11th of December, 2020.

In 2006 Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Head of the House on The Rock Church hosted a time of worship like the city of Lagos had not experienced before. Over the years, The Experience Lagos has quickly become a major part of gospel music and worship culture. It is now looked forward to by millions of people around the world every year. This year the Experience is back and is set to be a bigger encounter than it has ever been. The news of the event’s 15th edition has gone on to whet the appetite of music lovers across the globe, many of whom have been itching for the kind of refreshing atmosphere that the Experience always brings.

Amid a torrid 2020, there was some speculation as to whether the event would take place, as the effects of the pandemic are still being felt around the world. Interestingly enough, the world situation has opened up an opportunity for bigger participation from audiences and performers alike. The Experience Global edition is going to be a virtual experience, with all aspects of the event streamed online.

The free event will avail people from all over the world the opportunity for a spiritual encounter right from where they are.  The online event promises another lineup of world-renowned gospel music singers and worshippers, including the awe-inspiring Tasha Cobbs. The American singer/songwriter has had an impressive career and would be gracing the event for the first time. Tasha started leading worship at Jesup New Life Ministries, a church founded by her father, Bishop Fritz Cobbs, but only started her solo career in 2010. Her songs “Break every chain” and “For your glory” were not only chart-toppers on the Hot Gospel Songs Chart but have become favourites in churches and worship centers across the globe.

The Grammy award-winning singer has been followed by Christian music lovers for a long time, as they have developed a real affinity for her. Worshippers are looking forward to a move of the spirit as she leads them in worship on the 11th of December, 2020.

The popular contemporary worship music collective founded by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay, Maverick City, will also be present at The Experience 15 to bring lovers of Jesus in on one of their curated worship sessions.  The group has demonstrated the powerful effects of pure spontaneous worship. Their ability to take listeners along to different levels of worship has been appreciated widely and even more because they are able to project these wonderful experiences online.

In one of the audience messages for the event, Pastor Adefarasin said, “I have missed fellowshipping with you the way we used to before, but nevertheless, we must remember that Jesus has given us the victory in all things regardless of what comes our way”. “I am elated that we can worship the king of glory, traversing the globe in diverse towns, tongues, and talents” Adefarasin added excitedly.

Faith worship band, Hillsong United, will also grace The Experience’s virtual stage to create their now very familiar atmosphere of worship. A product of the Hillsong Church, the band released 5 studio albums and over 10 live albums and have become a staple in the gospel music community. Their numerous hit songs will be on display as they lead a session where audiences can get lost in the presence of God,

The Experience has maintained its reputation of touching lives with session after session of intensive fellowship by an incredible number of the body of Christ. “An unforgettable experience” as many have called it always brings something new and inspiring for the audiences as well as the ministers.

Some ministers have come to be synonymous with The Experience as they’ve been with the House on The Rock for many years now, coming back year after year to the delight of everyone involved. Don Moen, Travis Greene, Donnie McClurkin are amongst these gospel music powerhouses that would be coming back for The Experience.

The online event will be a refreshing change of pace from the usual physical gathering. Most of the previous 14 editions have been held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, which has necessitated the race to the venue, with attendees looking to get the best seat and view possible for the full impact of the encounter. This year, everyone gets the best seat in the house, with the full impact reaching attendees live through their various devices. With snacks in hand and comfort assured, the usual already grand Experience is set for a massive boost.

Other amazing artists performing at the event are Segun Obe, Chee, Eno Michael, Planet Shakers, Don Moen, Ana Paula Valadao, Nokwe The Poet, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Ada, Eben, Mercy Chinwo, William Mcdowell, Tope Alabi, Sonnie Badu, Chevelle Franklyn and more.

The Global Edition of the Experience has already garnered a larger buzz than ever before. As unusual as 2020 has been the excitement surrounding the event is palpable, especially because people have been looking forward to an atmosphere that would allow them to set everything else aside and focus on and revel in the presence of God. A lot of people, organizations, and government bodies have had to respond to the year unprepared. As the year moves gradually towards its tail end, experiences that can usher in a new era will be widely celebrated and enjoyed, and The Experience 15 (Global Edition) is in prime positions to be one of those experiences.
